Duties of JAG Reasons JAG Students are hired by Employers Career Association Membership Skills taught in JAG
Identify:   students are chosen through a criteria selection who need help in the transition from school to work or post-secondary eduation Students are motivated, job-ready, and entry level workers is a  student organization which provides opportunities for career awareness, preparation, and exploration Career Development and Work Place Competencies
Prepares and motivates:  students develop an increased self-worth and life-survival skills Potential applicants are prescreened by the job specialist to reduce interview time with employers provides civic and social activities designed to motivate students to develop positive attitude toward others Job Attainment and Job Survival Competencies
Provides Placement:  students receive assistance in job placement upon graduation Students will possess job-seeking and job-keeping skills provides local, regional, and statewide competitive events Leadership and Self-Development Competencies
Provides Follow-up:  students receive intensive follow-up for 12-months after placement to insure job retention Job specialists maintains contact with students and employers for 12- months allows students to develop career competencies and work ethics through contacts with business people Personal Skills and Life Survival  Competencies
